You are welcome here!

I know what it’s like to feel forgotten by the very systems meant to help—we deserve better. As a Black woman in long-term recovery, I’ve survived addiction, incarceration, and deep personal loss, and I bring that lived experience into every session. I became a social worker because I never want anyone to feel as uncared for as I once did. You don’t have to do this alone—healing is possible, and I’m here to walk alongside you. My approach is calm, real, and rooted in hope, especially for those who’ve been through the hardest things and are still standing.

What to expect at your session

You can expect to feel safe, heard, and never judged. I’m a compassionate, empathetic listener who understands that trust doesn’t come easy—especially when you’ve been hurt before. You’ll be respected for your experiences and honored for the life you live. I know you’re doing your best, and I’ll show up doing my best to help you reach your goals—whether that means changing behaviors, reconnecting with family, or simply feeling different inside. We’ll start with exploration and discovery, then create a structure that fits your needs. You may receive homework to reflect on or practice between sessions so the work we do can carry into your daily life. I aim to start on time but always offer a short grace period because life happens. I’m truly happy to take this journey with you.

My Strengths

My greatest strength is my lived experience—I’ve been through the darkest places: incarceration, addiction, losing my children, and feeling completely hopeless. That history allows me to truly understand and connect with people who feel like they’ve been through it all. I take a hands-on, collaborative approach: we work together, at your pace, in your way. I believe healing happens when you feel safe to make your own choices, so I support your self-determination every step of the way. I bring a personal touch to everything I do—listening deeply, communicating with care, and honoring your journey with respect and compassion.

My Approach

I combine my lived experience with practical tools to support your healing and growth. My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and respect—I meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you find your way. I draw from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation, always tailored to your goals and your pace. Whether we’re building coping skills, working through past trauma, or setting intentions for the future, I’ll offer guidance while supporting your autonomy. Together, we’ll create a space where healing feels possible, and change feels within reach.
