Associate Clinical Social Worker - CA
It's good to meet you!
I believe in the power of leaning into our natural intuitive voice unwrapping the gift of the power of our ancestors to arrive to our authentic self breathing and being!
My practice centers on supporting individuals impacted by international and transracial adoption, former foster youth, and underrepresented communities. As a transracial and transnational adoptee from Korea, I understand firsthand the complexities of identity, belonging, and resilience that many of my clients navigate.
What to expect at your session
In our sessions, you can expect a grounded and welcoming space centered on your story and identity. Together, we will explore the intersections of your experiences—whether connected to adoption, culture, belonging, or resilience—at a pace that feels safe for you. I approach therapy with warmth, respect, and curiosity, drawing from both clinical training and lived experience to meet you where you are. Sessions often blend reflection and skill-building, helping you connect more deeply with yourself and your inner strength. Above all, you can expect a space rooted in authenticity, where your voice is valued, your feelings are honored, and healing unfolds in collaboration.
My Strengths
My clinical work is rooted in empowerment, representation, and authenticity. I bring experience as a Clinical Team Lead working with individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in Los Angeles, alongside years of nonprofit and community organizing work within immigrant & BIPOC communities specifically, African American, Asian American. In therapy, I create space for exploration of identity, grief, and resilience while fostering a sense of connection and agency.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and strengths-based, grounded in empathy and intuition. I believe that healing happens when clients feel truly seen, respected, and supported in discovering their own resilience and capacity for growth.
My values are rooted in resilience and the wisdom of my ancestors. I draw inspiration from the Five Codes of Taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. These principles guide how I show up with clients: treating each person with respect, creating a space of honesty, encouraging persistence through challenges, fostering emotional balance, and supporting courage in the face of fear.
